Aldergrove Full Home Renovation
This is one of the lucky projects that has had the honor of receiving a full-home renovation from Trilogy Contracting. We love the color of this house now—it just pops!
Before Trilogy Contracting showed up…
Before we arrived, this home was the classic run-down Aldergrove home, and of course, nothing, not even a lightbulb had ever been changed in this house. Let’s just say, it was really gross. We spent some sweat removing a boat load of trash before starting our renovations.
What we liked about this home was the size of the lot, the location, and the opportunities that could be taken to spruce up the front of the house.
…and the lower half of the house was just screaming for a in-law/nanny suite, so of course, we added the required features and specifications to make that possible, as well. 🙂
You can see in the photos below, we’ve added a secondary door for the nanny suite and made the necessary changes in the basement.
The problem with these older homes is they’re all closed off. Lot’s of small rooms, closed off by doors and walls. Sometimes the added privacy is nice, but in this project we’ve decided an open concept kitchen and living area will be most comfortable. If you plan on hosting guests, open concept is best.
The kitchen seamlessly extends to the newly constructed deck, so you can take the entertainment outside:

The backyard’s got space for family, toys, a pet or a few, and it’s got a decent little view too!
